ABOUT GENEVA PYSADEE:

I am from the village of Richmond in St. Andrew. I attended the St. Andrew’s Anglican Primary School and the Grenville Secondary School. On graduating I worked as a Secretary in the office of Surveyor Neville Rennie. Subsequently I was employed by the then Deputy Prime Minister Ben Jones as the co-ordinator for his constituency in the areas of house repair, and pension administration.

On migrating to the United States in 1989, I entered the field of nursing taking care of people with various illnesses and continue to do so today. I was the Founder and President of the now defunct “Concerned Citizens Of Grenada” which from 1997 to 2003 have given school supplies, medical supplies, computers, appliances, toys etc. to various institutions in Grenada.

I believe everyone, irrespective of economic circumstance, should be given an opportunity to live a decent life. Our children must be our priority. My husband and I view our Outreach Program as an opportunity to enhance the lives of our children by supplying them with school supplies and other amenities so as to enrich the learning experience.

As one of our Caribbean calypsonians says in song “Don’t look down on a man unless you picking him up.”
